Changelog: every price and plan change we logged
Each change to Starlink’s US prices, plans, kits and referral terms that we have logged, with the date we saw it and the page we read. Press reports are labeled as such.
Starlink’s national order lists, legal documents and help articles are re-read before any page here is updated. An entry means the change was seen on Starlink’s own page on that date, unless it is tagged as a press report. Home prices vary by address, so the levels below are national-list figures, not anyone’s quote.
- Site note Which Starlink published.
- Prices National order lists re-read. Residential levels unchanged since Oct 30: $49.50/mo (100 Mbps), $76.50/mo (200 Mbps) and $143/mo (Max). Roam unchanged: $55/mo, $80/mo and $175/mo. Kits unchanged: $349 for each of the three home dishes, $149 for the Mini. Residential list · Roam list
- Referral terms The US referral terms are still the Oct 7, 2026 version: a first-time customer receives $100, matching what the referrer receives. US referral terms, version of Oct 7, 2026
- Kits Read Starlink’s spec sheets for the Standard 4 X, Standard 4, V5 and Mini, and its V4-vs-V5 help article. One detail worth knowing: the V5 is “currently available in select areas” and is not meant for in-motion use. Help center: V4 compared with V5
- Returns Read the Terms of Service, the Limited Warranty and the rent help article for our returns page. Starlink’s rent help article allows 7 days from delivery to send back, in good condition, a rental you decide against, or it bills the full kit price; the Terms of Service count 30 days from the first charge. We don’t know when the 7-day line was added. Help center: renting a kit
- Rentals Starlink edited its rent help article some time between Oct 30 and Nov 3, without changing the article’s date. A line saying you are charged a one-time activation and a monthly rental fee when you complete your order is gone. When we read it again on Nov 4, it said the activation applies “if applicable in your region”, and that rented kits add a monthly rental charge, listed at checkout, above the service price. Help center: renting a kit
- Prices The national list dropped to three Residential levels, all rentals: $49.50/mo, $76.50/mo and $143/mo. They were the same on Nov 3 and Nov 4. Residential list
- Press report Not seen on Starlink’s own pages: press reports say Starlink is testing Residential prices that move with local demand in select US markets, up to about 20% either way. RV Mobile Internet on demand-based pricing tests (Oct 30, 2026)
- Prices The national list showed 11 Residential entries at several levels: Residential 100 Mbps $44 or $49.50, Residential 200 Mbps $68 or $76.50, Max $104, $117, $143 or $156. Eight of the 11 were purchase entries and three were rentals. Residential list
- Referral help By this date Starlink’s referral help article carried a new line, absent on Oct 21: skip the link when ordering, or buy the kit in a store, and there’s no referral to attach afterwards. Help center: the referral program
- Prices One price per Residential plan on the national list, all rentals: $55 (100 Mbps), $85 (200 Mbps) and $130 (Max). The same on Oct 25; gone from the list by Oct 29. Roam and kit prices were the same as today. Residential list
- Referral terms Starlink republished its US referral terms. A first-time customer now earns a reward equal to the referrer’s, $100 in the US, credited on the second monthly invoice. Under the version before it, the new customer’s reward was one month of service as a bill credit. US referral terms, version of Oct 7, 2026
