Which Starlink

Privacy policy

In brief: visits are counted anonymously with Google Analytics, nobody is asked who they are or where they live, and the chooser’s answers never leave your browser.

Effective . Which Starlink has no forms, no accounts and no sign-ups. It never asks for a name, email, street address or ZIP code, and it doesn’t sell or share personal information.

Things this site never collects

  • Anything you type. There are no forms; the chooser and the cost calculator run in your browser, and their inputs are neither sent anywhere nor stored.
  • Contact details of any kind.
  • Your Starlink order, account or address. Those stay between you and Starlink.

What gets counted, and by whom

Google Analytics 4 counts which pages are read and which tools get used. It notes the pages viewed, device and browser type, a rough location Google estimates from the connection, and a handful of on-page actions: opening a question on the FAQ, how far down a page you scroll, clicking a source link or a referral button (with that button’s position), whether the offer window opened or was closed, how far through the chooser you got, the kind of answer it gave (a plan name or “wait”, and home, travel or both), and which plan the cost calculator showed. Individual answers and anything you type are never recorded.

This property runs with Google signals off and no ad personalization, so none of this feeds advertising. Google Analytics sets its own first-party cookies (named “_ga”) to tell a returning browser from a new one, and Google’s privacy policy governs Google’s use of the data.

The web host keeps standard server logs to deliver pages and keep the site secure, such as the IP address, browser type and the page requested.

Turning the counting off

A browser with Global Privacy Control switched on never loads the Google Analytics script here, so no analytics cookies are set and the visit isn’t counted. The older Do Not Track setting isn’t handled separately; Global Privacy Control is the one honored. Blocking or clearing cookies and site data in your browser also works, and the site runs fine without them.

What stays in your browser

On buying pages a short offer window may open once. So that it doesn’t come back, the site saves a single flag in local storage, named “sc-offer-seen”, holding only the time it was shown. It never leaves your browser and clears with your site data. Where storage is blocked, the window doesn’t open at all. Nothing else is stored.

Referral buttons open starlink.com as a new tab, the referral riding inside the link itself; this site sets no cookie for it. From there on, Starlink’s own privacy policy applies, and Starlink doesn’t tell this site who you are or whether you ordered. Other outbound links are citations, covered by their own sites’ policies. Fonts are served from this site, not from a font service.

Children

Readers here are adults shopping for home or travel internet. Nothing on the site is meant for under-13s, and no information from children is knowingly gathered.

When this page changes

If what the site collects ever changes, this page and its effective date are updated before the change takes effect.
